about three of cups

building authentic connections through intentional matchmaking

our mission

Three of Cups, LLC is a friendship matchmaking platform where meaningful connections are formed through intentional pairings by a community weaver and therapist—not an algorithm.

In a time where loneliness has become an epidemic despite our digital connections, we saw an opportunity to reimagine how adults form meaningful friendships and community. We were born from a simple belief: genuine connection isn't a luxury—it's a fundamental human need.

Our approach combines therapeutic insight with community building expertise to bring together people who share values, interests, and intentions. We understand that real friendship requires more than shared hobbies—it needs emotional compatibility, life circumstance alignment, and genuine care in the matching process. That's why every connection is thoughtfully curated by someone who understands human relationships at their core.

Three of Cups, LLC makes it easier to move from surface-level connections to real, lasting friendships—one intentional pairing at a time.

Iris Hudson

Iris Hudson

founder, therapist & community weaver

Hi there! My name is Iris (she/her), and I'm the founder of Three of Cups, LLC—a community weaver and therapist passionate about helping people build meaningful friendships and foster authentic connections.

Like most people, I've experienced highs and lows when it comes to friendships. Through both personal reflection and my research on community and holistic wellness, I realized something important: while having a supportive partner is amazing, it's my friendships that have truly saved me. They've been my anchor, my joy, and my chosen family.

In spite of the lows, I refused to let past hurt stop me from staying open to connection. That decision has surrounded me with the most loving friends who make life not just easier, but deeply fulfilling. And in a time where community and meaningful relationships can feel so far out of reach, I want to bridge that gap for others—combining my training as a therapist with my passion for community building to create intentional, lasting connections.

When I'm not weaving community or holding therapeutic space, you'll find me supporting local businesses, engaging in spirituality through nature and tarot, crafting, playing video games, and spending quality time with my loved ones (furry babies included).

I'm excited to help you find your people—the friendships that will nourish and sustain you. Let's create something meaningful together!

what makes us different

1

Get Intentionally Paired Through A Professional

All members are paired through a professional using our friendship assessment and your requests. Oftentimes, we go with what we “think” our match is, but really, we are going off our biases (totally normal – we’re human!). This causes us to miss out on people who may have been a better fit for us! Through being matched by us, we can help minimize barriers to creating lasting friendships. Less stress, more connection.

2

Have Access To Exclusive Community Events

You made your match, but you still want to build more community! Join us for exclusive community events from workshops, social events, crafting events, and so much more.
